What is the Fotona SP Dynamis?

Fotona SP Dynamis is the multifunctional laser platform used at Premium Clinic in Markham. It combines two established laser wavelengths—Er:YAG and Nd:YAG—within one system. Because each wavelength interacts with tissue differently, the platform can support a range of precisely selected protocols rather than a single, one-size-fits-all treatment.

We are proud to offer this technology because it lets our providers choose a Fotona protocol around the patient’s concern, skin assessment, treatment depth and preferred recovery time. The treatment delivered is determined during consultation; not every setting or protocol is suitable for every person.

Areas it can be used for
Who may be suitable

Adults who want to improve uneven skin texture, pigmentation, sagging skin. We review your skin, health history, medications and goals before recommending treatment, and some conditions may mean another option suits you better.

Technology

Dual-wavelength Er:YAG and Nd:YAG laser platform. The selected wavelength, mode, depth and treatment sequence depend on the clinical goal.

Why two laser wavelengths matter

Er:YAG is highly absorbed by water and can be used for controlled treatment of the skin surface, including fractional or fuller-field resurfacing protocols selected by the provider. Nd:YAG penetrates more deeply and can be used in non-ablative heating protocols. The SP Dynamis platform can use these capabilities separately or in planned sequences.

This flexibility is why “Fotona laser” describes a technology platform, not one treatment. Your consultation determines which specific Fotona procedure—if any—matches your concern and tolerance for downtime.

Fotona treatments offered at Premium Clinic

Our dedicated treatment pages explain the protocols currently highlighted at our clinic:

What happens at a Fotona consultation?

We assess the concern, treatment area, skin characteristics, relevant medical history, medications and previous procedures. We then discuss the protocol, expected sensations, recovery, alternatives and a realistic treatment plan. Session number and spacing vary because Fotona 4D, resurfacing and other laser protocols are not interchangeable.

Safety and recovery

Laser treatment requires appropriate patient selection and trained operation. Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, sensitivity, dryness or peeling may occur, with recovery depending on the protocol and intensity. Sun exposure, active infection, certain medications and other health factors may affect suitability. Your provider gives preparation and aftercare instructions for the treatment selected.
